Kine-P403
Theory and Practice of Cardiovascular Exercise
During my sophomore year at IU Indy, I was able to take KINE-P403, a class that forcused on the theories and practices of cardiovascular exercise. I did not know exactly what to expect at first, but this class proved to be extremely engaging and I enjoyed various types of exercise while learning. You get out what you put into this class, and showing up for every lab and lecture proves to be extremely helpful and exciting.

Learning New Concepts
During my time in KINE-P403, I was able to learn a lot of new concepts as well as trying a lot of new things. This class is all about engagement, as you get out what you put in. We were able to take part in a water aerobics class, cycling class, and my personal favorite, learning how to juggle. I have never juggled before, and I did not expect to learn how to in fourty-five minutes. I was able to challenge myself and in the end I learned how to partially juggle. Another big part of our semester was to create an exercise video. This was nerve racking as I have never made an exercise video and had no idea on where to even begin. My group consisted of Lauren Hertges, Riley Ross, and Gracelyn Harner. We quickly figured out that making this video from scratch was going to be a bit challenging, but we were up for it. The video was a very good learning experience, it let us get a taste of what the future would be like in designing classes for various individuals. I am lucky to have been able to work with such a great group of girls while also learning how to plan for the future.
